I do have experience in shipping and gain more every time I visit
the airports. Generally it is a safe way to transport your new pup. The airlines know they are responsible for the pup and
if a delay would occur they usually notify both parties. I prefer the pup to be a bit older to be shipped and it must be eating
dry food well. A puppy kit will either be attached to the top of the crate or sent ahead and will
include a tube of Nutri-stat to help in this transition.
The total cost for shipping on American Airlines or Continental
will be $225. Delta, Northwest, and Midwest Express are other airlines that can be used but they are usually a little more
expensive. I will only ship within the United States.
This price includes the crate, health certificate, and travel
expenses. Shipping and related expenses have to be paid in full before the pup can be sent.
If you wish to return the pet taxi in which the pup arrives in,
you will receive a $20 refund. Most crates can be sent back through the regular postal service at a cost of @ $6.
Please be prepared to pick up your new pup at the airport. I travel over 150 miles one way, over
a two hour trip, in the early hours of the morning in order to get to the airport at 5 or 6am as pups do best on the early
flights. I try to accommodate you the best I can but I will not put myself in jeopardy. I will not drive in bad weather
and it is not in your new pups best interest to be shipped in bad weather.
If you are not prepared to take off work or make a long trip to the airport to pick up the pup
do not put a deposit on one. Shipping on weekends can be possible but is not recommended. Full payment on the pup and shipping
expense now has to be received before booking a flight. It is not as easy to get a flight on short notice anymore so please
allow a week to 10 days to arrange shipping.
